The survey found:
- 91% of dermatologists supported medical cannabis use.
- 13.8% had recommended it for a skin condition, most often atopic dermatitis (45%) and psoriasis (40%), mainly as topical products (75%).
- The main reasons for not recommending were limited knowledge (56%) and lack of experience (48%).
- Palmitoylethanolamide is not mentioned in the abstract.
Limits of this study
A pilot survey with a very low response rate, so results may not represent dermatologists generally. It does not concern PEA. Funding and conflicts not stated in the abstract.
