What the authors reported
A significant reduction in intraocular pressure with palmitoylethanolamide across the pooled studies.
Limits of this study
Only three small studies were pooled, and the abstract gives no effect size or heterogeneity. The included trials are the Gagliano, Strobbe, Costagliola and Pescosolido studies already on this site, so this review adds no new patients. The Messina authors have long-standing links with Epitech.
