What the authors reported
The authors describe palmitoylethanolamide as a compound made in many plant and animal foods and in mammalian tissues, with protective, anti-inflammatory and pain-related actions in laboratory work. They review the proposed mechanisms and the first data on smaller-particle formulations, alone and in combination.
